ELIZABETH TAYLOR

Three years ago, we said goodbye to a Hollywood legend. Elizabeth Taylor.

Elizabeth was born February 27, London, United Kingdom and she died on this day March 23, 2011, in Los Angeles, California, United States. I remember the day Elizabeth's Taylor's death was anounced on the news. I  couldn't believe it. Elizabeth was often in and out of hospitals for various illnesses. It was a shocker that day, my mum and I had an Elizabeth Taylor film marathon since we were such big fans.

Elizabeth is my  all time favourite Classic Hollywood actress. She was unique, charming, glamorous and unforgettable. Her distinctive eyes is what made her stand out the most and her outgoing personality was also quite bold.

One of my favourite films starring James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor, is 'GIANT' set in Texas. Elizabeth's performance in this film is simply amazing. Here is one of my favourite scenes. Elizabeth portrays the character of Leslie.

While growing up, I watched many of Elizabeth's films as a child with my mother and we  really enjoyed all of them. Watching Elizabeth on screen is always great. She is an actress who started young, so watching her as a child actress was equally as good as when she grew up.

I loved watching her E True Hollywood story as well.  Surprisingly Elizabeth was much smaller than i thought she was actually only 5.2 She is also famous for loving jewelry. Elizabeth loved all gem stones, especially Diamonds.  Ofcourse the name of her perfume was 'Diamonds are Forever' my first ever perfume given to me at the age of seven.

I believe Elizabeth had one of the best figures of the time, although many say she loved her food a little too much. I personally think she had an amazing figure, healthy is always best and her curves suited her face shape perfectly.

Elizabeth was a child star who also grew to become a one of Hollywood's most glamorous movie stars. Today many young girls still look up to her iconic look.  She is a Hollywood Legend who is known for her personal life having been married eight times and her several life threatening illnesses.

Having read her Biography, I believe even though Elizabeth was married many times, her true love was Richard Burton whom she always spoke so graciously about in many interviews. There are very few Hollywood couples who I know and feel were  supposed to be together and then suddenly something went wrong and they got torn apart. Later they always regret it. This is always sad when ever this happens.

I know this was the case for another one of my favourite couples Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner. The love they shared was real.  Although both had been in various other relationships before. When they found each other the love they had could not be denied.

A tribute to Elizabeth and Richard
