Film Review -Spanish Affair- 8 Apellidos Vascos

This was a film filled with Spanish humour.  The film is directed by Emilio Martinez and produced by Alvaro Augstin.  The opening scene is set in the beautiful Spanish town of Seville where Flamenco originates from.

Amaia celebrates her hen night in Seville with her friends and from there she ends up in the bed of a Sevilian barman Rafa. Amai returns to her home in Basque only to find Rafa has followed her home. Rafa soon learns that Amaia’s family is very nationalistic. They plan to create a new identity for Rafa with the help of a local thespian.

This film will leave you laughing out loud. The acting is superb, it is entertaining and engaging throughout, it has been a massive hit in the Spanish box office. This is a film that shows the best of Spanish culture.
